In prep for an upcoming LA Vintage Exchange shoot- I met w my cute friend Lia at her work: Tara, Ink.- to check out the lines, talk about pulls, and eat a delicious lunch at Real Food Daily.

Tara, Ink. has unique.cool set up in West Hollywood- the showroom is located in a beautiful, well-designed Spanish style house and the offices in a bright back house with only a lush, green yard in between.

The fashion PR company represents a ton of cool lines, mixing fashion-forward indie designers with well-known brands like Trina Turk and Penguin. I immediately honed in on a line from a duo of friends called GAS'D, guess Taylor swift was just spotted in a T, we have so much in common! Their necklaces are super special and recreated from vintage materials. I must have been on a jewelry kick, because I also went a bit nuts over the Valou Jewelry 3 cap ring- i love.

I've got tons of new finds including a nice selection of leather boots, boyfriend blazers, designer accessories, 90s lace tops and rayon floral dresses.

Join studio-mate Lizz and I as we host the first Popomomo, Curatorial and LA Vintage Exchange Open Studios at our shared workspace just north of downtown LA.

Peruse the lines, check out our studio, sip champagne and shop current and past season popomomo and curatorial pieces. Past seasons will be steeply discounted. And mostly, hang out with us to enjoy a lovely Wednesday.

Popomomo is a women's contemporary eco line known for its intellectually sexy pieces and handmade prints. Curatorial is a lower priced pet project that features vintage, liability and deadstock fabrics in season-right women's shapes.

LA Vintage Exchange is a tight collection of trend right vintage for stylist's and designer's resources, wholesale for boutiques, and for individual clients. Shop hand picked vintage pieces that have been gathered from all over the country.

The sale at Space 15 Twenty was simply hotness.

L.A. Vintage Exchange was sandwiched between two of my favs- Lizz - Popomomo & Mitra - Blood is the New Black. The selection of sellers was above par & shoppers who stuck out the heat walked away happy. I did a quick interview with alexi wasser of IMBOYCRAZY - hoping I didn't have breakfast burrito on my face - from these pics I'll never know.

I fell in love with Maui the minute we touched ground.

The locals are friendly, weather is amazing & the scenery is out of this world.

It was a great opportunity to pull out my favorite Hawaiian sundresses and put them to appropriate use. Shopping in Lahaina is what you’d might expect: knick-knack tourist crap. I did find the local Salvation Army, which consisted of much stuff under a carport. Because it was Sunday they were only taking donations – no shopping allowed. It wasn’t meant to be & Lady D thanked me.

ahhh- what a nice & relaxing 3 day weekend.

Some highlights include:

+ a successful vintage sale on Sat. @ the Silver Lake Vintage Mkt

+ shopping trip to Americana (like the Grove, but better- the place has katsuya for god sake!) - splurged on tinted moisturizer from Kiehls

+ watched Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay & laughed my ass off

+ lazy champagne brunch in Santa Monica @ Shutters on the beach

+ finally, afternoon drinks poolside at the W hotel

Now, back to work.
